What Rooted Bharat is

Rooted Bharat is a brand of Bullsline Holding Private Limited, for Indians who live abroad. The family practice behind it has distributed investments to families in India since 2001; Rooted Bharat applies the same practice to the questions an NRI has: which account, what's allowed from where, how tax and repatriation work, and how to manage it all from a distance.

The insurance pages explain how health, term, life, motor and general cover work for NRIs. They are information only.

What we arrange

• Mutual funds, as an AMFI-registered distributor (ARN-270728). Regular plans; the fund house pays us a trail commission.
• PMS, introducing you to SEBI-registered portfolio managers, from ₹50 lakh, as an APMI-registered distributor (APRN04498).
• AIFs, registered with SEBI and offered only by private placement, from ₹1 crore, distributed under written agreements with AIF managers registered with SEBI. The manager pays us a distribution fee, which the AIF discloses to you when you invest.
• GIFT City (IFSC) funds, in foreign currency, through IFSCA-registered entities we work with, under IFSCA's code of conduct for distributors located outside an IFSC. We operate from India, outside GIFT IFSC.

Our scope

We are a distributor: we arrange the products above under the registrations listed below, and service what you hold through us. Fund houses and managers are named only with their written approval, and every figure on this site is a rule, a minimum or a sourced fact. For tax and legal questions we'll tell you what to ask a professional.

How we're paid

Commission from the product provider: the fund houses and managers whose products you buy, out of the product's own charges. The commission disclosure gives the rates by category. There is no fee from you to us.

If something goes wrong

Write to us first; if it isn't resolved, the regulators' channels are listed on the grievance redressal page.
